In this week's instalment of holiday music is another unique christmas song. The song is Snow Globe by Matt Wertz. I love this song because I collect mini snowglobes therfore any song about them makes me happy and the sentiment of the song is awesome.

Musical Monday 12/1

Happy first day of December. In honor of the holiday season and the reality that for the next 25 days I will be mainly listening to Christmas music, I will be posting some of my favorite christmas songs every monday for musical mondays. I hope you enjoy the change of pace and have a fabulous holiday season.

First up is The Christmas Can-Can by Straight No Chaser. This is a fun and original A capella christmas song. That pokes a little fun at christmas with out being mean spirited.

This week's musical selection is Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon. I found this song on iTunes last week and have been listening to it pretty regularly since. It is a great song for a dance break or when I'm working out.

This week's song is American Girl by Bonnie McKee. This song is upbeat and perfect when I need a dance break. I love listening to it while I am picking up the house.

Sorry I have been absent from this space for a while. Starting another blog was a lot more work than I expected, however things are setelling down and hopefully this blog will return to normal.

Now on to normal programing with this weeks musical monday selection. Lately I have been loving The Man by Aloe Blacc. I love the jazz elements of this song. As well as the positive and uplifting message. It is also one of those songs that you can hum all day long and be reminded of it at random moments.

Music Monday 5/12

This past week, I found out about 5 Seconds of Summer and have been in love with their music since. They recently released an EP in the US and have a full album the is available in other countries. They sound kind of like an australian One Direction with a fun cheeky vibe. My favorite son by them is Gotta Get Out.

Music Monday 4/21

I have been loving Say Something by Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World for a while now. I didn't really like the song when I first heard on The Voice but I love it now. While the song is kind of depressing it is also hauntingly beautiful. I especially love all the covers I have heard of it.

This last week I have been re-watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix. While watching, I was reminded of my love for the show's soundtrack. I have been listening to them again when working as background noise. I especially have been loving Cosy in a Rocket by Psapp.

For the next few weeks, I am going to change up the order of my posts. Tuesday tunes will become Music Mondays. Monday Motivation will become Wedesnday Words, and tusedays I will link up for top 5 tuesdays. Fridays will still be book reviews and sundays will still be a link uo for sunday social.

This week's song is Team by Lorde. I have been hearing this song a lot on the radio and pandora. It has been stuck in my head for the last two days, but in a good way. I definitely like team more than royals, and really enjoy the beat of the song.

This week's song is Invisible by Hunter Hayes. I love Hunter Hayes' music it is a great blend of county, pop, and beautiful lyrics. This song is great for those days when you are feeling a little down or lost in the crowd.

This week's Tuesday tune is Wake Me Up by Avicii. I am really into the trend of dance music with good lyrics. I find it works well both for background music when I'm working and when I have more attention to really listen to the song.

Ours by Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift is one of my favorite singers. I love how her music has changed over the years but still has a relevant song for any situation. I love the lyrics of this song and how uplifting they are. I also love that the music video has Zach Gilford (from Friday Night Lights).

This week is a guilty pleasure. I love listening to One Direction. I love that their music is so poppy and upbeat. However they also have songs that are more laid back. For that reason I chose Over Again because it is a mellower song that was written by Ed Sheeran. I love the lyrics of this song especially "the showers that are British".

Tunes for your Tuesday 9/10

One song I have been listening to a lot lately is Roar by Katy Perry. This song has been compared a lot to Brave by Sara Barelles (a song I previously posted about here) as if that is a bad thing. i think the more empowering positive music the better. One of my favorite things about this song is all the great YouTube covers of this song.

I love Tyler Ward's covers and this one does not disappoint

Anthem Lights is one of my favorite bands. Their covers are always flawless. I especially love the addition of a little Eye of the Tiger is their rendition.
